Day Six -- Getting High (altitude... what did you think I meant?)
March 16th, 2009. Day Six
This morning, my daughter and I walked to the lighthouse. We took the same path down V. Carranza as on Day Four, then made the 162M Vertical hike (plus about 1.1km along the path) up to the top. We stopped to find a Geocache and leave our personal travel bugs along the way. The view from the top is amazing. By the time we got back to the bottom we were feeling a bit tired and lazy, so we caught a pulmonia back to our house.
Day Five - - Getting to the Golden Zone
March 15th, 2009. Day Five
It rained again overnight, but had stopped by the time we left for Church. We attended the Vineyard Church in the Golden Zone.
After church, we decided to do a bit of Geocaching. We found one in a busy outdoor restaurant before heading for lunch at Burger King.
We spent the afternoon in the pool and then headed back to the Golden Zone for supper at Hotel Playa and the fireworks after.
Day Four -- Getting Wet and Staying Dry
March 14th, 2009. Day Four
Overnight it RAINED! I'm told Mazatlan hasn't had rain since October.
Day three - Getting some "Homework" done
Day Two -- Getting low on clever titles
March 12th, 2009. Day Two
I started typing the past two days' entries at about 6am this morning.
Day One -- Getting Ready
March 11th, 2009. Day One. Getting Ready.
I'm calling this Day One as it's our first full day here. My daughter started a list of all the things she wants to do today.
Day Zero -- Getting There
March 10th, 2009. Day Zero. Getting there.
Well, after weeks of anticipation and preparation, today we start our journey. Mom and Dad picked us up at 4:30am and took us to the airport.
Cabin Demolition
We've been talking about it for years. This is the year we actually do it. We're demolishing our cabin and building a new one.
Check the gallery album for some demolition pictures.
Day 9 - Epilogue
Day 9
I don't even want to write this page. What is there to say?
Day 8 - Denouement
Day 8
This morning, Kim, Shayne and the gang left for a day on Isla de las Shivas. My daughter and I went for a walk on the beach. the waves were a bit too rough to really play in the ocean, so we stayed right on the edge and collected seashells that were being washed ashore.
